The Hayden 2886 Severe Duty Thermal Fan Clutch turns the fan at 80-90% of shaft speed when engaged and 20-30% of shaft speed when disengaged. It is designed to engage at 170 Degrees Air Temp which is typically about 195-205 Coolant Temp (this varies with ambient temp and Airflow across the cooling stack). This fan clutch was designed for the 2001-2007 Kodiak trucks but works well on the 01-07 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 6.6L Duramax LB7 / LLY / LBZ trucks to improve cooling in severe duty applications. The now discontinued GM OEM numbers are 15083219, 15205968, 15816068.
